Chemical / Mechanical removal of industrial hard chrome, electroless nickel plating, and flame spray applications. Grinding Centerless Grinding (w/ hard chrome process): an effective method of precision grinding the outside diameter of any cylindrical shaped part (round bar and tubing, bushings, pins, mixer shafts, pump shafts, hydraulic rods ...
Electroless Nickel Plating. The Kanigen process is a method for depositing a uniform, hard, corrosion-and-abrasion-resistant nickel alloy, coating on iron, copper, aluminum, titanium and their alloys, without the use of electricity. Kanigen nickel alloy coatings are free of voids. The conformity to the substrate is so excellent that there is no ...
Common electroplating defects often include issues that are present before plating, such as cold shuts, pitting, sharp edges, cleavage points and unclean manufacturing. During plating, flaking or a loss of adhesion can occur. After plating is complete, common problems include hydrogen cracking, dull and hazy deposits in the plating, blistering ...

Electroless Nickel plating is a nickel phosphorus alloy deposit plated by chemical reduction, without applying an external electrical current, onto a suitable substrate. Electroless Nickel provides very uniform, hard, lubricious coatings. The deposit uniformity allows plating of various coating thicknesses on any section of a part exposed to ...
We are plating an Inconel 718 shaft with electroless nickel to 0.0035-0.0040" thickness. The part is then ground to 32 microinch finish to a specified runout tolerance. The plating looks good as-plated but we have numerous pits (<0.050" diameter) after grinding. These pits sometimes have "comet tails" after grinding.
The nickel plating facilities at Erie Hard Chrome deliver the best surface preparation, process chemicals, finishes, and overall results currently obtainable. We offer two types of electroless nickel plating finishes including nickel boron nitride and high-phosphorous nickel.
Electroless Nickel Plating (previously Kanigen ) On your mechanical parts (steel, aluminium, cast-iron, cupreous, stainless steel), this coating will be the only one able to protect simultaneously against wear and corrosion. Verbrugge uses a chemical process, this coating is uniform inside as well as outside of the part, whatever its shape.
Electroless nickel plating is an auto-catalytic chemical technique used to deposit a layer of nickel-phosphorus or nickel-boron alloy on a solid workpiece, such as metal or plastic. The process relies on the presence of a reducing agent, for example hydrated sodium hypophosphite, which reacts with the metal ions to deposit the nickel onto the ...
We think of it as electroless chrome. E-Krome has a Rockwell hardness of 63, and it's low coefficient of friction helps in parts being used in difficult wear applications. This helps reduce the need for post-plate grinding or polishing as well. Technical Advantages: Perfect Uniform Deposit. Hardness of Chrome.

Our fields of expertise extend from hard chrome plating, electroless nickel plating and combination plating processes, all the way through to precision circular grinding and superfinishing. Since 1996, Hartchrom Haslinger has been part of the Parzer Group, an association of companies in the surface technology industry in Austria, Germany and ...
The plating solution moves freely over all surfaces, generating a consistent deposit thickness, even on parts with irregular shapes. Electroless Nickel chemistries can be adjusted to achieve varying levels of brightness. In many instances, the uniformity of the coating eliminates the need for post-plate grinding. Electroless Nickel coatings are ...
Nickel Plating is the plating film to be used mainly for the purpose of corrosion resistance. For the Nickel Plating, there are Watts bathing, sulfamate bathing and Wood bathing. Luster plating uses Watts bathing and electro-casting uses sulfamate bating which has low electrolysis stress.
The force of grinding may peal them off. EN is great stuff, but does not have as much adhesion to the base metal as Electrical Plating Nickel would have. We use to climb mill the edges to prevent seperation. On lathe work, we "stoned" the edge to break the bond between surfaces, before turning or facing. If the fresh surface has a abrading ...
Electroless nickel plating is an appropriate coating to the components having irregular shape and cavity portions. The electroless nickel can be done at the interior portion of a component with uniform coating thickness. Equal to Hardchrome plating Electroless nickel coating is also having the hardness in its property and more abrasive resistance..
Machinable Alloy Plating (MAP) is a ductile, electroplated, sulfamate nickel plating utilized for the repair and salvage of mis-machined and worn tool steel, copper or castings. One of the greatest attributes of MAP is that it can be machined, EDM'd or ground, and can be deposited in thicknesses ranging from a few tenths to .150" (depending on ...
Toolchrome Engineering is located in Braeside, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The company specialises in Hard Chrome Plating, Hard Chrome Engineering, Electroless Nickel Plating, Sulphamate Nickel Plating, Machining, Cylindrical and Surafce Grinding, Blasting and Automated Shotpeening.
Nickel plating refers to a layer of nickel on base materials for either durability or decorative purposes. On industrial parts, nickel plating acts as a shield to provide wear and corrosion resistance. Without any plating, machinery is susceptible to damage, which shortens its durability and increases repair costs. Different methods of nickel plating alter the…
Verbrugge : Electroless nickel plating and hard chrome. 2000 U protection against salt spray! ELEC TROLESS NICKEL PLATING Chemical nickel protects all your mechanical parts against rust and wear. The coating is uniform over the entire surface, even for a complex part. Hard chrome plating, Often imitated, never equaled !
BHC Industries is pleased to offer top-notch hard chrome plating services for aircraft, large production parts, cylinder bores, and other equipment, in accordance with military, federal, and proprietary specifications. Perhaps our greatest expertise is in plating pump barrels, which is our main application for on- and off-shore drilling. Focusing on hard chrome, electroless nickel, manganese ...
Electroless nickel plating is an auto-catalytic reaction that deposits an even layer of phosphorous nickel alloy on the surface of a solid material (substrate), like metal or plastic. Our plating process starts with dipping the material in a plating solution bath. Once submerged, a reducing agent reacts with the material's ions to deposit the ...
